THE ROLE OF THE PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY IN THE FACE OF THE COVID PANDEMIC 19
This paper presents data referring to the research and intervention strategies designed by the team from the Psychological Prevention Program of the FES Zaragoza. A project with two aspects of study was designed, in the first, observations were made of the behaviors and cognitions that different populations manifested towards the pandemic situation and the responses generated in three types of identified populations: (a) those who attended the recommendations issued by the authorities specifically to stay home and take care to avoid infections, (b) the part of the population that did not comply with the recommendations and that demonstrated complete negligence towards the protection observations issued by the authorities, (c) those who had the need to work and they had no option to stay at home and attend to the preventive recommendations for the pandemic; the other aspect is counseling and psychological support for users of psychology services who need to go to psychology clinics and have interventions specifically designed to solve disorders arising from the loss of family members or having suffered collateral damage caused by the pandemic.
